MEDIA RELEASE – The National Pharmaceutical Services Association welcomes the announcement that Ms Glenys Beauchamp PSM will commence as the new Secretary of the Department of Health from 18 September.
“Pharmaceutical wholesalers are encouraged by Ms Beauchamp’s longstanding experience and record of success in industry policy and we believe that will aid an appreciation of the practical aspects of the CSO supply chain in Australia,” NPSA Chairman, Mr Mark Hooper said.
“Representing CSO wholesalers, NPSA is working constructively with the Department of Health on the Review of Pharmacy Remuneration and Regulation and we expect this to continue. NPSA is keen to pursue a Strategic Agreement with Government to deliver viable remuneration for the sector and certainty for business investment over the longer-term,” he said.
“We look forward to working with Secretary Beauchamp and her Department. We wish her every success in her new role.
“We also wish to add that we appreciated having very constructive engagement with Mr Martin Bowles while he was Secretary. We wish him well for the future,” he added.
